Are they game at all? Like do you have to separate roosters?

Try running a Bantam cockerel (Barbu d'Anvers, Serama, Japanese, OEG etc), to some Coturnix quail hens (Jumbos), i've seen a couple pictures of Chicken /Quail hybrids, so it's definitely possible.

They start to look more and more like common chickens. If it were me I’d stick with breeding the ones that get the best traits only. Like the long straight tail of the pheasants and the vibrant coloration of both. But generally most pheasant chicken hybrids are just ugly.
